Parkheuvel
A Rotterdam classic, with a fresh perspective.
Right on the banks of the Maas, Parkheuvel has been part of the Dutch fine dining scene for decades. Building on the strong reputation established by renowned patron-cuisinier Erik van Loo, today Juliën van Loo takes the lead, bringing together classical craftsmanship and a new generation of creativity.
That balance is exactly what we captured. Refined dishes, rich flavours and seriously impressive sauces, paired with beautiful wines and service that makes the whole experience feel effortless and luxurious. From North Sea crab with peach and tonka bean to venison with beetroot, umeboshi and kriek beer, the tasting menu offered plenty to work with behind the lens.
The setting deserves a mention too: Parkheuvel’s distinctive round architecture opens up towards the water, giving this Rotterdam institution an intimate, elegant feel with views over the Maas throughout the dining room.
